BIOMOD 2026 Announcement - Team Registration Opens Apr. 15

We are thrilled to announce the schedule and venue for BIOMOD 2026!

This year, our annual jamboree will take place at Campus Querétaro, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, from November 20 to 22.

Team registration will be open from April 15 to May 31. We will release the event details and guidelines on April 15, so please keep an eye on our updates.

Thank you all for joining the online briefing! Here are the detailed information of BIOMOD 2025, including recorded video from the session. We look forward to receiving your team registration.

Team Registration

Team: 30,000 JPY (approx. 200 USD)
Jamboree (individual): TBD (see below)

A fee of 30,000 JPY is due at the time of team registration, payable by credit card via Peatix. Team registration starts April 18. The registration may close early or extend due to the number cap of the jamboree venue.

This year’s individual Jamboree registration fee will be decided based on the number of teams that are willing to attend on-site ($220/person in 2019). Online participation also requires an online registration fee to cover streaming etc. We strongly recommend joining on-site to experience the BIOMOD jamboree fully. Jamboree registration starts in August and is due in September, along with your project title and abstract.

Registrations are only considered complete when payment is received, and a confirmation email is sent.

We are excited to announce that the team registration for this year’s BIOMOD starts on April 18, 2025. Also, we are happy to share the news that this year’s jamboree will take place in Changchun, China, hosted by Jilin University.

An Online briefing session will be held on April 18 (14:00-15:00 (JST), Zoom). Rules, schedule, jamboree venue, awards, etc., will be covered. A recording of the session will be made available afterward for those who can’t join live. We look forward to seeing you all at the briefing!

We need your help participating in this year’s competition as a judge. The online judging period (webpage and YouTube video) will take place on Nov 15 – Nov 21 (JST), and the live presentation judging at the jamboree will be held as a hybrid style (on-site and Zoom) on Nov 22 (JST). Joining the judging online, even part of the process, is also welcomed.
